The United States of America is made up of so many diverse destinations from coastlines to huge cities, that it makes it so hard to decide which places should come on top of your travel bucket list in America. There are a variety of factors that come into play to determine to best places to visit in the USA, including attractions, accommodations and dining options.
New York City
For me, NYC has to take the top spot as it’s one of my favourite places to visit. Known for its diverse cultural scene, anything goes in NYC, and it’s one place where you can really express who you are and feel no judgement.
The Big Apple boasts so much to do and offers something special for any tourist. You can choose to spend the day pursuing the many museums that New York has to offer, trying their famous New York pizza at the hundreds of restaurants there, or watching a show on Broadway. And when you’ve had enough of the city’s busy streets life and soaring skyscrapers, you can retreat to the scenic Central Park or the incredible High Line.

San Diego
San Diego appeals to many kinds of vacationers as it boasts a huge variety of activities, ranging from surfing at their gorgeous beaches to hiking in the stunning nature reserves that San Diego has to offer.
The city’s central Gaslamp Quarter will also appeal to foodies, as it features a variety of beaches and restaurants serving fresh seafood, authentic Mexican cuisine, craft beer and much more.

Washington, D.C.
The nation’s capital definitely has a lot going for it, with iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument, and with the city’s plethora of Smithsonian museums, you’ll have plenty to do to fill your days. You can take a stroll along the Georgetown waterfront, or visit some of D.C.’s green spaces, like the U.S. National Arboretum and Rock Creek Park.
In contrast with the relaxing and artistic side of Washington D.C., you also have the city’s lively restaurant and bar scene, which really makes it the perfect place for any tourist.
Las Vegas
Usually known as ‘Sin City’, Las Vegas astounds travellers with it’s bright lights and many attractions. Many people usually associate Las Vegas with spending money in casinos, however there’s much more to do than test your luck in its many venues.
You can also enjoy their highly regarded restaurants and buffets, as well as relaxing at their extravagant spas and pools, it really does offer something for everyone.
As well as enjoying the activities and attractions that are available on the Las Vegas strip, travellers can also venture outside the city to sightsee via helicopter or go hiking.

Grand Canyon
To experience some of the most amazing views that the United States of America has to offer, you can plan a trip to the Grand Canyon National Park. Its 277 mile long canyon hides the Colorado river, which makes it the top destination for white water rafting. The Arizona park is also an amazing place to hike, as it offers scenic paths such as the Bright Angel and North Kaibab trails.
