Did you know that many retailers will give you free birthday treats including food, beauty products and pampering? All you have to do is sign up to different loyalty programmes and newsletters and you will be inundated with birthday surprises without spending a penny!

How to claim your birthday freebies

Before we get into the wonderful treats that you can get, it might be worth signing up to these deals with a separate email account as you may receive a bit more spam than usual from this.

Free birthday food

Barburrito – Free Burrito

If you pick up a Barburrito loyalty card, you will be emailed a voucher for your free birthday burrito, worth £7.50. Barburrito have restaurants in lots of UK cities including Manchester, Bristol and Liverpool.

Frankie & Benny’s – Free Main Meal

Sign up to Frankie & Benny’s Rewards and you will be sent a voucher 10 days before your birthday to claim your free main meal. You can save at least £7.99 on this offer (providing you choose the cheapest item on the menu) however it’s important to note that you must buy another main meal in order to redeem this deal, and it can’t be used in conjunction with other offers or discounts.

Greggs – Free Cupcake, Cream Cake or Doughnut

You will need to sign up to the Gregg’s Loyalty Rewards app to claim this sweet treat, and check the ‘rewards’ tab on the app on your birthday. This offer is worth around £1, depending on which item you choose, and it is valid for around one month from your birthday.

Krispy Kreme – Free Doughnut

If you download the Krispy Kreme Rewards app and register for their free loyalty scheme, you will be eligible for one free doughnut on your birthday, usually worth around £2. This offer is only available in Krispy Kreme stores and not in stores with Krispy Kreme concessions stands (e.g. Tesco).

Beefeater – Free Main Meal

Sign up to the Beefeater rewards scheme to get one free main meal around £9-£21 when you purchase another main meal. You will also get a free £5 welcome bonus on your loyalty card when you join the scheme.

Brewers Fayre – Free Main Meal

Register with the Brewers Fayre Bonus Club to get one free main meal (worth around £7-£12) when another main meal is purchased from the main menu. You will be emailed a voucher to show upon payment however it isn’t valid in conjunction with another other offer or discount. You will also get a free £5 welcome bonus on your loyalty card when you join the scheme.

Las Iguanas – Free Main Meal

If you sign up to the Las Iguanas newsletter you will be emailed a voucher to claim a main meal worth around £7-£10. When redeeming the offer, you must buy at least one other main meal and the voucher can’t be used in conjunction with any other others.

Ed’s Easy Dinner – Free Milkshake

Sign up to Ed’s Club and receive a free milkshake worth £4.25 on your birthday. You don’t need to buy anything else while you are there, and the offer is only valid on normal shakes (not deluxe) and it must be claimed on the day of your birthday only.

Harvester – Free Sundae

If you sign up to the Harvester VIP Club, you can claim a free sundae on your birthday.

The Body Shop – Free £5

If you join The Body Shop ‘Love Your Body’ rewards programme, you can claim a free £5 voucher to spend on your favourite products. You can choose from anything in store including skincare, bath products or make up.

Space NK – Free Gift

Sign up to Space NK’s N.Dulge Rewards programme to claim your free gift in store. The gift changes monthly and you will need to register for the programme at least 6 weeks before your birthday.

IKEA – Free £5

Register for an IKEA Family Card online or in stores and you will get a £5 off voucher at IKEA around your birthday.

Paperchase – Free £5

To claim this birthday freebie, you will need to pick up a ‘Treat Me’ card at Paperchase and once you have registered your card online, you will receive £5 worth of credit to spend at Paperchase just in time for your birthday.
