All you need is a good broadband internet connection and a microphone for your PC, Mac or laptop.
You’ll need a good quality microphone so that your audio is clear, and you should avoid using microphones on laptops or monitors.
To get started, you’ll need to sign up to as many testing companies as you can, as the more companies you apply to, the more options you have to earn money. One of the most popular testing websites is UserTesting.
When you sign up with them, they will take you through a process that validates your identity. Once this is completed, you will be able to select assignments.
HOW MUCH WILL I GET PAID?
The majority of website tester get paid per test they complete rather than receiving a set salary. Typically, you could expect to get paid between £8 and £20 per test, and every test usually takes you around 20 minutes to complete. Not bad for 20 minutes work!
Most companies will pay this money via PayPal, and some will only pay your earnings to you once you receive a minimum threshold. It’s not guaranteed that you will qualify for every test, so it’s not something that you could do as a full time job because the frequency of work may be unpredictable.
