4 Ways To Spend Less, Yet Live Well

Everybody likes to live a comfortable – if not lavish – life and enjoy the good things life has to offer. However, not all of us can afford all these luxuries. With monthly bills to pay, a mortgage to cover, a college loan to pay off etc, most of us tend to splurge less on what we want and spend just on what we need. However, with a little planning, research and doing things differently, you can manage to live well while spending less. Here are four ways you can do just that!

Buy A Second-Hand Car

A car can be everything from a necessity for some to a statement for others. But whatever your reason, owning a car is often necessary especially if you have a family. But for those who love automobiles, or want to get the latest model of the snazziest car, it can be a huge expense. But there is a middle ground. Opt for a second-hand car and you’ll be surprised how much cheaper you can get it for! Visit a number of car sales dealerships and see the best deal you can get.

Browse Charity Shops For Designer Clothes At Cheaper Prices

Who wouldn’t want designer clothes and jackets? But when you are on a budget and need to think of other more essential things, buying designer clothes is not always possible. However, you can sometimes grab a great bargain at a charity shop (especially ones that are located in more upmarket areas). Yes, you can get a beautiful designer dress or coat for less than half the original price – now that’s totally worth it!!!

Shop The Supermarket Brands

If branded food items are not so important to you, then try switching to the supermarket’s own brand of products. Most of the time, you will find that they are just as good in terms of quality and taste (often, you won’t even be able to tell the difference!), but cost much less than the branded items. So, in essence, you will get the same value for less the price – and you can always spend the money you saved on a treat for yourself!

 And Catch The Supermarket Deals

And while we’re on the subject of saving at the supermarket, if you time your weekly shop correctly, you will be able to catch some great deals and save a lot more cash (which you can either save up or spend on something else). It takes a little bit of research and planning, but it is often worth it if you can manage it.

Keep a watch out for when your local supermarket has price match deals or their own deals (such as buy one and get one free) and make the most of them! Sometimes buying in bulk saves you quite a few pounds (but make sure it’s a product you use regularly). Use your points card and coupons for extra savings too.

And if you can shop later in the evening, you will even find a number of items whose shelf life is close to expiring at half price or less!
