Save money with Shopmium – App review

You may have already heard of the Shopmium app, although if you haven’t – have you been living under a rock? I have used the app for years and during that course, the app has helped me to save hundreds of pounds on my shopping.

What is the Shopmium app?

Shopmium is an app that helps you save thousands of pounds on your annual supermarket shop, by giving customers cash back on their weekly food shop and offering exclusive supermarket offers. This includes 50% off popular items, the chance to win vouchers and having the opportunity to try out new products for £1.

The app has teamed up with more than 1,500 well known brands including nestle, Heineken and McCain.

The Shopmium app is available to download on iOS and Android, and gives you cashback on a wide variety of products by making them free or discounted. To claim your cashback, you would buy the item that has the offer on as normal in the selected supermarkets, and then you just need to take a photo of your receipt and scan the product barcode to claim your cashback.

There isn’t a minimum payout and it takes a maximum of two working days for the cashback to be paid into your bank account.

Shopmium claims to have the largest offering of exclusive supermarket product offers that can be claimed both in-store and online, working with over 500 supermarket brands in the UK and thousands of online retailers.

The best features in the Shopmium app

One of my favourite features about the app is that you can add your loyalty cards to the app, to save you rummaging around your purse or wallet to find them. I also love that you have the ability to scan barcodes of products in the app, to make sure that you are buying the correct product.

It is definitely worth downloading the app as you will be making money back from your weekly shopping that you will be doing anyway! It takes very little time to scan your purchases in the app, and you will come across some of your favourites brands on the app – as well as it enabling you to try new brands and products!
